Hidden Hills Needs $4.9 Mil in Renovations, Architect Says

Districtwide, Capistrano Unified is looking at $822 million in repairs and upgrades. Here's Hidden Hills Elementary's portion.

Hidden Hills Elementary School needs $4.9 million in new construction upgrades, according to the Capistrano Unified School District.

The district hired WLC Architects in 2009 to create a list of facility needs throughout the district. The report was recently updated for 2013 pricing. The district is facing $822 million worth of needs and only has about $44 million on hand to address them.

Of the $4.9 million WLC said Hidden Hills needs, $900,000 would go to replacing half of the portable classrooms with permanent buildings. Another $1 million would go to routine maintenance the district has put off in recent years, including to the phones, floor covering and roofing.
