" In its first full year of operation, the school is costing $800,000 to run but only bringingRead More in $200-300,000 in revenue from the per-student enrollment, Farley said. " [Knock, knock] Penny! [Knock, knock] Penny! [Knock, knock] Penny! It is not $200-$300,000, it is $200,000-$300,000. And Farley is an old fuddy-duddy (Thank you Mr. Jimmy Connors) for whining about how an innovative program is to be judged. You do not judge something by its first year projections. If people judged Amazon by the losses it took the first several years, we would not have the modern shopping mall. $200,000 on a $800,000 cost the first year is something to kill for. No, I mean it. I could imagine people being killed for that $600,000 (see, that's how you do MATH, Penny) amount.

It is a private organization, so what they do with their rules, is really their business. HomophobiaRead More is not against the law, especially since they are not involved in any discriminatory practices. That said, the fact they choose to air this out allows one to comment on it. As to why anyone would wanted their kid in such an organization is beyond me, but the tide is clear, and increasingly bigotry is being chipped away. So, to those kids who want to be part of this organization, I hope it brings them some joy. It is not as if there were no gays in the Boy Scouts before, it is just that they now can announce that they exist.

I hit enter in the comment and it posted - I wasn't done! Why would it post if you don't clickRead More "post comment"?! I read one story and the scrunched up left placement gave me a headache. The ad column on the right is way too big - too wide. If they made that smaller, swapped the "board" column and the news (so the news was in the middle), I think it would be easier to read.

With the ad block on the right and the boards info in the middle, it feels like the news part isRead More scrunched too far to the left.
