Bacteria Levels High at Area Beaches, D.P. Included

The weather is still warm and while you might be thinking of swimming nearby, heed these beach warnings.

Ocean and bay waters are posted with warning signs when bacterial levels in ocean or bay waters exceed health standards.

Here is a list of current warnings as reported by the Ocean Water Protection Program Health Agency:

Dana Point - From the Dana Point Harbor breakwater to 300 feet downcoast of the breakwater at Doheny State Beach (posted 9/7).

Dana Point - From 500 feet upcoast of the first restroom south of the last campground to the end of the park at Doheny State Beach (posted area extended 9/14).

Dana Point - East End of Baby Beach in Dana Point Harbor (posted 9/14).

Dana Point- All of Capistrano County Beach (posted 9/14).

Dana Point - All of Capistrano Bay Community Beach (posted 9/6).
