Pain at the Pump, Gas Prices Jumping

For the 11th straight day, prices are at their highest since June 6, according to AAA.

If you are still pondering going out of town for Labor Day, you might want to think twice as gas is on the high side.

According to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service, the Orange County average price rose Sunday for the 11th consecutive day, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $4.153, its highest amount since June 6.

It is 3.9 cents more than a week ago, 31.7 cents higher than one month ago and 26.2 cents greater than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has risen 5.8 cents during the 11-day
streak of increases, including seven-tenths of a cent on Saturday.

The best price in Laguna Niguel is $4.14 a gallon at Union 76 at 30800 Crown Valley Pkwy.
