Metrolink Adds Trains for Summer Trips

Several round-trip trains between Riverside and Laguna Niguel on the Inland Empire-Orange County Line have been added to the Metrolink roster. It also added a pair of trains between Laguna Niguel and Fullerton on the Orange County Line.

Just in time for summer stay-cation" season, Metrolink has added four round-trip trains beginning Saturday on its Orange County Line between downtown Los Angeles and Oceanside.

Earlier this week, Metrolink added a round-trip train between Riverside and Laguna Niguel on the Inland Empire-Orange County Line. It also added a pair of trains between Laguna Niguel and Fullerton on the Orange County Line, according to a Metrolink press release.

Metrolink officials said the added trains will provide improved service to San Diego County, Disneyland and other destinations for riders who take advantage of the $10 weekend pass, which offers unlimited rides for the single price. Also on Saturday, Metrolink's weekend beach train will return, operating between Oceanside and San Bernardino.

Traditionally, the beach train ended each year in October, but this year it will continue indefinitely, according to Metrolink.
