Laguna Niguel Lake Full of Fish
The local watering hole is packed with trout and this past week, there were plenty of big catches,
Heavy stockings of trout every Tuesday and perfect weather conditions are making for great fishing at Laguna Niguel Lake, said Rick Mendoza, co-owner of Rip 'n Lips, the company that rents fishing equipment, boats and more at the lake. Trout continue to chew night crawlers and any color power bait dipped in Bite on Garlic scent. Trout continue smashing the crank baits with the ‘Mirror Shad’ working best.
Fly fishermen continue to hammer fish in the flats using bead head midges in black and red patterns. Water temp is currently 56 degrees with 6 -8’ visibility.
