A packed room of past sports figures from Eagle Rock High School gathered in their alma mater's cafeteria to witness the induction of four athletic standouts into the hall of fame last weekend.

Among them was Bob Jones, now of Laguna Niguel. Jones was a track and football star who still holds many school records after graduating in 1963.

Jones went on to an illustrious football career at Occidental College, leading the Tigers to become one of the top teams in the college ranks.

Chairperson Gale Fullerton hosted the event and made introductions.

After a light supper and induction ceremonies  honoraries were paraded around the football field in classic cars as grand marshalls to the cheers of the crowd at the football stadium.

Alums were treated to a win by the Eagles football team against Marshall after homecoming ceremonies. The Eagles remained undefeated after the win.

Among those attending were former coaches Sonya Most, Mike Houlimard and former athletic director Mike Lomen and former high school principal and Eagle Rock grad Dana Wyatt.
