Great math students know that math struggles are not uncommon. Therefore, they prepare before their math class and are never ashamed to ask for help.
I'd like to dedicate this post to students who have struggled in math by asking you about your math struggles and victories.
If you have never struggled with math, you haven’t studied enough math. Just try proving one of these unproved math theorems that will have you scratching your head in no time.
One struggle I had as a student was Topology in college. Topology was a difficult class for me because it seemed far more abstract than any other math class I had taken as a math major. I went to every office hour, created many study sessions, and spent 90% of my study time in that one class just to survive it.

We at South County Math Tutor (SCMT) have decided to help you get ready for your upcoming math class by providing a FREE math prep series. SCMT collaborated with several local math teachers to develop a curriculum that covers topics needed to excel in your first weeks of Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry and Pre Calculus. We asked teachers at Capistrano Valley High School, San Clemente High School and Dana Hills High School what it takes to be fully prepared for their math classes. This series will begin in August and will include short videos, free math worksheets, and answer keys. Each activity can be done in under an hour.
