Laguna Niguel School Collects 80 Bags of Typhoon Donations in 3 Days

It didn't take long for Crown Valley Elementary families to load up 80 bags of donations for victims of the Philippines typhoon.

A request went out Monday from the school's listserv asking for clothes, toiletries and other necessities. By Wednesday the school community had delivered 80 bags full of clothing, toiletries and dried goods.

"The collection effort went phenomenally well and completely exceeded my expectations, especially on such short notice," volunteer Cindy Dopf said. "The support from all of our families was really heartwarming."

Local businesses helped, too. Home Depot of Laguna Niguel donated 30 shipping boxes and U-Haul gave the school a $30 credit on a truck to transport the donated goods.
