Crown Valley Widening Moving Along

The project began in July and is expected to be completed by December 2012, city officials say.

In between flashing signs, delays and dust, construction seems to be moving along in the Crown Valley widening projet.

Deputy Public Works Director Nick Renn says the photos show the construction of the reinforced concrete drainage box which is connecting to the existing storm drain pipe and the construction of abutment footings for the bridge widening over the railroad.

Also shown is a bridge column being constructed between the north and south bound lanes of the I-5 freeway. This is one of the columns that will support the bridge widening over the freeway.
