Thousands of residents lined the city’s main thoroughfare on Saturday morning in anticipation of the annual Holiday Parade.
Under sunny skies and relatively warm temps, parade-goers were able to get a glimpse of basketball legend and parade marshal, Earvin "Magic Johnson," council members waving from shiny convertibles and people dressed in Star Wars garb as they made their way down Crown Valley Parkway.
Crowds also watched as highly waxed classic cars including DeLoreans and Thunderbirds, as well as miniature horses, numerous marching bands, rescue dog groups, and horses entertained. There was a lot excitement as several jets flew overhead.
The feel-good family event brought big smiles to not only the younger sets faces, but also their parents.
