L.N. 'Hockey Mom' Back In Court Tuesday

Kathia Marie Davis, 45, faces trial for allegedly sexually assaulting two boys, ages 13 and 16, who played on the hockey team of her teenage relative.

Known as the "hockey mom," of Laguna Niguel, faces trial on Tuesday for allegedly sexually assaulting two boys, ages 13 and 16, who played on the hockey team of her teenage relative.

 is charged with four felony counts of lewd acts on a child under 14 for John Doe #1, four felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse for John Doe #2, three misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor for John Doe #2, John Doe #3, and Jane Doe #1, and a sentencing enhancement allegation for substantial sexual conduct with a child for John Doe #1.

If convicted, faces a maximum sentence of 17 years and eight months in state prison.

Davis is accused of meeting 13-year-old John Doe #1 and 16-year-old John Doe #2 through her male relative's hockey team.

On one occasion between April 30, 2005, and April 29, 2006, Davis is accused of letting her relative and John Doe #1 drink alcohol in her home during a sleepover. After two of the defendant's teen relatives fell asleep on the floor of the room they were all in, Davis is accused of sexually assaulting the victim by kissing and masturbating him.

On four occasions between July 1, 2010, and July 31, 2011, the defendant is accused of having unlawful sexual intercourse with John Doe #2 at her home in her bedroom. Davis is accused of giving John Doe #2 alcohol.

On one occasion, Davis is accused of encouraging John Doe #2, her minor relative, and a teen girl to drink alcohol during a party in her home.

John Doe #2 told his mother about the unlawful sexual contact and alcohol consumption with Davis, and the Orange County Sherriff's Department was subsequently contacted, which led to their investigation into the sexual assaults.

If convicted, Davis will be required to register as a sex offender. Davis' lifetime sex offender registration would bar her from entering County recreational areas and City parks which have passed the Sex Offender Ordinance.
