Council to Consider More Funds for New City Hall

Delays caused by the winter's heavy rains will cost the city an addition $95,580 for construction of the new complex.

The Laguna Niguel City Council is set to vote tonight on the city's 2011-2012  budget.

The budget includes funds for improvements to community parks, including Laguna Niguel's oldest park, La Plata Park; new construction to widen Crown Valley Parkway at I-5; continuing construction for the new City Hall and the public library; and the conclusion of a five-year street-resurfacing project.

The total proposed budget is $38.4 million and is expected to maintain all existing service levels and programs.
