At Least 5 Candidates to Run for City Council

With five candidates already in the running, the period to file nomination papers to run for City Council has been extended because one incumbent opted not to run.

Five candidates will vie for three open seats on the Laguna Niguel City Council Nov. 6, and there is still a chance that more names could be added to the ballot.

The period to file nomination papers with the city clerk has been extended to 5 p.m. p.m. on Wednesday (Aug. 15) because incumbent 

The five candidates in the running and who have been verified by the Registrar of Voters and have qualified for the ballot are:

Another candidate, Jeanette Krembas, has pulled nomination papers from the city clerk’s office, but she has yet to turn them in.

Nominations must be submitted to the City Clerk by 5 p.m, Aug. 15, at City Hall, 30111 Crown Valley Pkwy. All forms required for nomination and election to municipal office are furnished by and filed with the city clerk’s office.
