More like who doesn't, as six candidates gun for the position.
Six candidates have filed to fill the Laguna Niguel Police Chief position, a crowded field consisting of Lts. Mike Anderson, Matthew Barr, Cathy Irons, Gary Strachan, Lisa Von Nordheim, and Mike Wagner.
The city contracts out its police services to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, like many other OC cities. The slot became vacant when the city recently reassigned former chief Andy Ferguson, leaving Lt. Jim England in place on a temporary basis until a new top cop can be hired.
That interview process begins Friday.
