Video Revisits Site of Fatal Crash at Tracks

Esther Marino, 76, died June 23 in a crash that ended with her car landing on the train tracks near Avery Parkway. A YouTube video shows her path.

Just over one month ago, resident Esther Marino, 76, died when her car crashed

This YouTube video was taken by Sundwrenched three days after the June 22 accident to show where the accident occurred.

Marino's Toyota Camry was traveling east on Paseo de Colinas when it jumped the curb at 1 Starr Dr., went through a greenbelt, over a chain-link fence, and came to a rest on the train tracks below, Orange County sheriff's officials said.

According to O.C. sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino, Marino's cause of death is pending further testing and toxicology reports, which could take a few weeks. Officials have said she had .

Officials said the car was traveling at high speed. No one else was hurt.

According to the coroner's report, it was "driver of auto vs. auto out of control."

The crash caused major traffic tie-ups; it forced the closure of the southbound 5 freeway off-ramp at Avery Parkway. Metrolink trains were also delayed for several hours.

Marino was at a memorial service at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Dana Point.
