Shooting Victim Recalled Fondly

Everyone loved Johanah Wade, colleagues tell KCBS. Her 25-year-old husband reportedly shot her Friday in their Laguna Niguel apartment, but the circumstances remain under investigation and no arrest has been made.

The 24-year-old dental assistant who was reportedly killed by a single gunshot fired early Friday by her husband was "loved by everyone," her stunned colleagues told KCBS-TV on Monday.

Johanah Wade's 25-year-old husband was questioned and released after the shooting, but remains a person of interest in the case, authorities told the station.

Jim Amormino, Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesman, told Patch Tuesday morning that the autopsy on Wade was performed over the weekend, and that investigators would turn their results over to the Orange County District Attorney's Office, which will decide whether to prosecute anyone in the case.

Meanwhile, her former co-workers remembered her as hard-working and much-loved.

"She had the best personality anyone could ever ask for,” said one of her colleagues at Serene Dental Center in Irvine.
