Man Makes Odd Gestures, Stares at Sky

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff's Department from Oct. 15-16.

A caller reported a man was standing by the Cinepolis movie theaters at Ocean Ranch Plaza, 32401 Golden Lantern St., making strange hand gestures and staring at the sky. He was wearing a checkered button-up shirt and jeans. The incident occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 3:29 a.m. No contact was made.

Tuesday, Oct. 16:

Suspicious Person 10:32 p.m. 23700 block of Hillhurst Drive. A caller reported a man was on the balcony of a community of condos off Crown Valley Parkway, shooting a BB gun into the canyon.

Hit and Run Misdemeanor 8:13 p.m. 28800 block of Mira Vista. A man reported he heard a car get hit. When he ran outside, he saw a small, white sedan with front-end damage, and its bumper dragging in the street heading up Mira Vista toward Del Cerro.

Monday, Oct. 15:

Citizen Assist 9:39 p.m. 24300 block of Borrego Court. A man reported  a neighbor left a note on his car accusing him of a hit and run. His car had not moved and he had a witness see someone put the note on his car. He called the person who left the note, and she said she could not deal with it that night because she was going out to a bar with her friends. She said she would report him in the morning.

Disturbance-Family Dispute 8:53 p.m. 24300 block of Azal Court. A caller reported that she got in a verbal argument with her husband and he would not let her go to sleep. No weapons were involved.
