Fiancé Throws Engagement Ring, Leaves ‘Goose Egg’ on Forehead

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff's Department from Sept. 21-22 in Laguna Niguel.

A woman reported she had an argument with her fiancé and he threw her engagement ring at her head, leaving her with a “goose egg” on her forehead. The fiancé was wearing a black baseball cap and a white shirt. Medics were refused. The incident occurred on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 11:39 p.m. at the 34500 block of Via Verde in Dana Point.

Saturday, Sept. 22:

Suspicious Person 9:41 p.m. 28100 block of Mariposa. A man stated he returned home and found a rude note on his door in regards to his dog.

Suspicious Person 10:42 p.m. 0 block of Monarch Beach Resort. Security reported that a drunk Marine threatened to jump from his room. They calmed him down and escorted him off the property, and requested deputies go look for him. The man was wearing a black beanie, black shirt and pants, and was carrying a backpack. He was last seen on the west side of the street. (Dana Point)

Friday, Sept. 21:

Citizen Assist 8:20 p.m. Alicia Parkway/Marketplace Drive North. A woman reported she dropped her keys in the storm drain and preferred that a deputy retrieve them.

Disturbance 8:39 a.m. Greenfield Drive/Crown Valley Parkway. A caller reported a man driving a white Ford Ranger held up a flashlight in a threatening manner, during a road rage incident. He was last seen driving eastbound on Crown Valley toward the 5.
