Woman Lights Paper Lanterns on Fire At Baby Beach

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff's Department from Oct. 9-10 in Laguna Niguel.

A woman reported a 20-year-old female was at Baby Beach in Dana Point, setting off paper lanterns she lit on fire, and would then float in the air. The caller was worried she was creating a fire hazard. The incident occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 7:10 p.m.

round Aliso Creek and Dorine roads that caused some to think twice. These turned out to be sky lanterns, as well.

Wednesday, Oct. 10:

Citizen Assist 10:32 a.m. 100 block of Grenada Street. A caller reported a transient had been living in the utility closet near the community pool.

Disturbance 6:03 p.m. 34000 block of Doheny Park Road. A man reported a man was running around the leasing office of the Beachwood Apartments and throwing trash. His wife was fearful he would escalate to violence. (Dana Point)

Tuesday, Oct. 9:

Citizen Assist 7:49 p.m. A woman reported her neighbor left an air horn on her porch to allegedly harass her. Call history showed ongoing issues with the neighbor.

Disturbance 10:49 a.m. 25000 block of Eaton Lane. A woman reported her sister threw his auto supplies in the street, and then he spat on her shirt, and she jumped on him.
