Crime: Furniture Pyros and Strange Neighbors

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff’s Department June 30-July 1. All incidents were reported within Laguna Niguel unless otherwise noted.

Sunday, June 30:
Vandalism Report. 12:11 a.m. 32400 block of Outrigger Way. A caller reported that her neighbor possibly cut down her lights in her backyard. She stated it was an ongoing issue.

Disturbance. 1:26 a.m. Unknown block of Old Ranch Road. A caller reported that an 18-year-old woman came to a party at the location and stole money and items. She was of thin build, and wearing a black top and jeans. The woman was arrested and released. Bail was posted.

Disturbance. 9:05 p.m. 28100 block of Soledad Street. A caller reported his neighbor threw something in her yard and started yelling and using profanity toward his wife. He referenced that it was an ongoing problem.

Monday, July 1:
Unknown Trouble. 11:50 a.m. 30300 block of Via Corona. A mailman reported a man dead in a residence. There was blood all over and the front door was open. Upon investigation, it appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances. 2:09 p.m. 28800 block of Avenida Del Caballo. A caller reported that a man wearing gray shorts and no shirt was crouching down in his backyard. He wished to have a deputy check out his property.

Disturbance. 10:40 p.m. 25500 block of Pas La Cresta. A caller reported that 3-4 juveniles were throwing furniture into the community pool and lighting it on fire.
