Crime: Shady Mechanic Problems; Poachers at Lake

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff’s Department July 24-25. All incidents were reported within Laguna Niguel unless otherwise noted.

Wednesday, July 24:
Keep the Peace. 2:31 p.m. 27900 block of Forbes Road. A caller reported that he thought his mechanic messed up his vehicle and demanded someone come and make him fix it as well as give him his money back.

Vandalism In Progress. 5:30 p.m. Camino del Avion/Peak Drive. A caller reported that four teens were spray-painting the bridge near the location. They were last seen leaving on bicycles and were wearing swim trunks.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances. 10:32 p.m. 29500 block of Via Valverde. A caller reported that a man took her against her will in a blue Honda Fit. He told her to act like she wanted to be with him. The incident occurred the Thursday previously. The man was in his 30s and had dark brown hair.

Thursday, July 25:
Suspicious Person/Circumstances. 3:39 a.m. 100 block of Seafare. A caller reported that he saw a man carrying a box away from a Penske truck and then heard what sounded like a crowbar drop. He thought the man might have been trying to break into one of the vehicles parked on the street. The man was in his 20s, with short, dark hair and was wearing a gray tank top. He left in a black Toyota 4-door, going northbound on Sea Glen.

Assist Outside Agency. 5:15 a.m. 28200 block of La Paz Road. OC Park rangers reported that a group of poachers were at the lake, near the front gate of Laguna Niguel Regional Park.
