Crime: Neighbor Complains About Steve Martin’s Musical Stylings

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff’s Department May 31-June 1 in Laguna Niguel:

A caller reported that his neighbor was screaming in his backyard about how Steve Martin can’t play the banjo. The incident occurred at 12:59 a.m. in the 28800 block of Placida Avenue.

Here are more items from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department blotter. All incidents were reported within Laguna Niguel unless otherwise noted.

Saturday, June 1: Disturbance, 9:33 p.m. 28100 block of Soledad Street. A caller reported that her neighbor sprayed her with a hose. It was becoming an ongoing issue.

Suspicious Person In Vehicle, 7:41 p.m. 29800 block of Highlands Avenue. A caller reported that a man in his late teens was parked at Moulton Elementary School in an older white Mercedes. He got out of his vehicle, pulled down his pants, got lube out of his trunk and then went back into the vehicle. The caller said he did not expose himself to her, as he was wearing trunks underneath his pants.

Friday, May 31: Petty Theft Report, 7:18 p.m. 28100 block of Moulton Parkway. A caller reported that her ex-boyfriend stole her Rug Doctor, a carpet-cleaning device, at the Palms apartment complex.

Unknown Trouble, 10:20 a.m. 28600 block of La Saragosa. A caller reported that he found a a pipe bomb in his attic with a timer. He also suspected there were hidden cameras in his home.

Disturbance, 10:27 p.m. 33800 block of Del Obispo Street. A caller reported that his neighbor threw a board at his condo and stated that he is always harassing him. (Dana Point)

Disturbance, 5:40 a.m. 24100 block of Pas Corona. A caller reported on the upper unit of the location that a female was screaming, “Get off!” and a male was yelling, “If you move, then this knife is going to go in the wrong spot!” (Dana Point)

I'm very late to this, but just caught up to the fact that Steve Martin tweeted a joke and link to this Patch item. That must have brought in a fair bit of traffic, right?
