Caller Finds Mace, Possibly For Dog Attack

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff’s Department from Dec. 25-26 in Dana Point and Laguna Niguel.

A man reported he found a can of mace near the fence at the 34500 block of Calle Naranja, and believed it belonged to someone who wanted to mace a dog. The incident occurred on Wednesday, Dec. 26 at 10:09 p.m. in Dana Point.

Here are more items from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department blotter. All incidents were reported within Laguna Niguel unless otherwise noted.

Wed., Dec. 26:

Disturbance 5:27 p.m. 25500 block of Mainsail Way. An elderly caller reported his wife was out of her mind, and tried to strangle him. (Dana Point)

Citizen Assist 11:39 a.m. Alicia Parkway/Pacific Island Drive. A customer at Starbucks claimed "Katie" Holmes was harassing her.

Tues., Dec. 25:

Welfare Check 11:45 p.m. 31300 block of Nine Drive. A caller reported a woman thought she was in a hospital and didn’t know where the bathroom was.

Suspicious Person 1:46 p.m. Stonehill Drive/Selva Road. A caller reported a man was riding a bicycle with two large guns (possibly rifles, according to the report) strapped to it. He did not know if they were fake. The man was in his 40s and weighed 180 to 185 pounds. He was last seen going toward Stonehill. (Dana Point)
