Buzz Over Bees, Resident Won’t Pay Up

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff's Department from Oct. 25-26 in Laguna Niguel.

A man reported he hired a beekeeper to remove a hive at his home, and believed the price was unreasonable. He claimed the beekeeper threatened to release the bees if he did not pay. The incident occurred on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 11:36 a.m. at the 26800 block of Calle Almanza in Dana Point.

Friday, Oct. 26:

Suspicious Person 4:29 a.m. 30900 block of Club House Drive. A man reported his girlfriend called him stating someone was outside her apartment complex throwing rocks at her window and whistling.

Citizen Assist 9:15 a.m. 25400 block of Sea Bluffs Drive. A woman reported an "Australian sweepstakes announcer" told her  she was enroute from Westminister in a Brinks truck, to deliver her $4 million cash prize. She believed the sweepstakes to be fraudulent. (Dana Point)

Thursday, Oct. 25:

Keep the Peace 8:46 p.m. 0 block of Lindall Street. A woman reported she was afraid to leave her room because her landlord was terrifying her and possibly put a mouse in her room.

Suspicious Person 4:50 p.m. 34100 block of La Plaza. A caller reported two juveniles came into Henessey’s Tavern and asked for a towel because one was bleeding from the head. The boys left the bar, but the caller was concerned because other patrons mentioned a helicopter was overhead, and several people were fleeing the area. (Dana Point)
