Have you been invited to a Halloween party? Do you need to take something, but you just don’t know what to take. Think salsa!
"Great salsa is fantastic as a dip or it can be served as a garnish to a great fish dish. Here’s one that is so fast and so easy and will be the one dish that everyone from the party goes home and talks about," said the chef at RAYA, at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, Marissa Gerlach.
Coconut Jalapeno Peach Salsa

8 peaches, peeled, medium dice
½ piece of jicama, small dice

1 red onion, small dice
3 Jalapeños, minced
3 limes, juiced
2 green onions
½ bunch of cilantro, chopped
½ cup sweetened shredded coconut
Black sesame seeds
Preparation
Combine ingredients in a large bowl 1-2 hours before serving.
Season with salt and more lime juice if needed. If you like it hot, add more Jalapeños.
Use shredded coconut to top off the salsa and add some black sesame seeds for appeal.
Serves 6-8
