Christmas Trees and Trash Collection

Wondering what to do with your Christmas tree? The city of Laguna Niguel has you covered.

As the Christmas and New Years' holidays fall on a weekday, trash collection and street sweeping services will be delayed by one day. Example: If your normal trash collection day is Tuesday, your trash will be picked up on Wednesday. The same example applies to the street sweeping schedule for those residents who have their streets swept during the fourth week of the month.

Christmas tree collection will begin on Wednesday, Dec. 26 for a 2-week period through Jan. 8,2013. If your tree is over 6-feet tall, please cut it in half and place it at the curb next to or inside your green waste cart (if you have one) on your regular collection day.

CR&R tree collectors will come by on your collection day, so there's no need to call CR&R. Please remember to remove all ornaments, lights and stands. Flocked trees are not recyclable an should be placed in the black cart.
