League of Women Voters Meeting

Please join us for a meeting which will
          focus on the immigration issue.

    Speakers:

Minerva Gomez, co-founder of the
        Orange County DREAM team, now an organizer with OCCCO, the
        Orange County Congregation Community Organization, who will be
        our guest speaker, along with two students who qualify for
        President Obama’s recent deferred action for DREAMers. You will
        hear their stories and the following issues discussed:

• What does it mean to
          be a DREAMer?


• How the DREAM movement
          has changed in the last decade


• Restrictions in CA
          DREAM Act and President Obama’s Deferred Action have left out
          many DREAMers


• Qualifying versus
          Non-qualifying DREAMers

           New laws: their impact,
      benefits, and consequences
