$23,000 Laguna Niguel Wedding Ring Sold for $10—By Accident

The pricey piece of bling was mistakenly put out at a garage sale, and now the owner would really really like it back.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA -- Racquel Cloutier was about to pop out her fifth kid. So before she went into the hospital on May 31, she decided she'd better stash her wedding ring in a safe place—a wooden jewelry box.

An obvious place, right? Except she didn't tell her hubby, who took that jewelry box and set it out at a garage sale the next day at their home in the San Joaquin Hills neighborhood of Laguna Niguel.

Of course, somebody had to go and buy the box for a low, low price of $10. Quite a return on investment, if the buyer only knew that the ring is worth $23,000.

"Honestly, this has so much sentimental value to me you know—it's my wedding ring," Cloutier told ABC7. "So I'm really upset about it."

Obviously, the Cloutiers would like the ring back, so if you happen to spot it somewhere—like on someone else's finger—email her at racquelcloutier@gmail.com. The ring can also be dropped off at the security gate of San Joaquin Hills at 27380 Aliso Niguel Road.

And yeah, there's a reward involved. Maybe you'll be able to keep the box ...
