Fall Decorating Ideas

Fall is in the air, and we love the cooler temperatures. This brings out the Fall inner decorator in many homeowners. Like all other seasons, there is so much you can do and much fun to be had when adding a Fall touch to your homes.

Warm Colors

The simplest way to decorate for the Fall is to choose warm, Autumn colors for your pillows, frames, and vases. Swapping them for Summer’s home accessories can liven up any room.

Add fresh flowers and turn your attention from Summer to Fall. Sunflowers, Asiatic Lilies, and Chrysanthemums all give that “Fall Is Here” feeling to a room.

Layer Your Home

Think of Fall and Winter, and you will automatically think of layering your wardrobe. There’s no need to stop there, however. Why not layer your home? Add Autumn colored wool, cashmere, or cotton throws over furniture in your bedroom and living room.

Welcome Them At The Door

Add flowers and plants to your front porch setting in gold, green, and orange colors. It brings a Fall feeling to your front porch and can be brought indoors when needed to weather Winter’s cold.

Fall Colored Wreaths

Create a Fall door wreath that can be placed on your front/back door or on any wall in your home. Add pine cones, autumn leaves, small pumpkins, warm colored ribbon, and dried berries.

Fall Garlands

Make a garland for your doorways or front porch entrance. Garlands can be created using dried corn, foil leaves, and felt cut-outs. The same materials that are used for your wreaths can be used on your Fall garland.
