It's Back: Laguna Beach Million Dollar Home Raffle Launches July 8

The Laguna Beach Million Dollar Home Raffle is California’s most successful home raffle, having awarded the Grand prize of $1 million or a home in Laguna Beach every year since 2005.   This is a huge accomplishment for the 16-week fundraiser which supports the Ocean Institute and its non-profit partner the Irvine Public School Foundation (IPSF).

Local businesses play a huge role as community partners by offering special benefits to supporters of the two educational organizations.  The local business partnerships are one way for the Ocean Institute to say thank you to the supporters of the raffle and also a way for businesses to participate in a meaningful way with discounts, two-for-one offers and more.  Benefits range in value from $3 to $175 with other benefit values in between from $35 to $90.

The 31 businesses that are community partners so far this year are from the following cities Laguna Beach, Dana Point, San Clemente, Laguna Niguel, San Juan Capistrano, Irvine, Newport Beach, Laguna Hills, Foothill Ranch/Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Orange, Costa Mesa and Anaheim.

More businesses continue to be added as community partners throughout the campaign and throughout the entire year so that raffle ticket purchasers receive benefits throughout the year.

While benefit offers are available, the grand total of benefits, if all offers are used, tallies around $1,370 (not counting the discount offers ranging from 10% to 25% off total purchase at some businesses).  It’s a pretty hearty thank you for the purchases of one or two raffle tickets at $150 each.  And, of course, there’s the benefit of supporting two great educational organizations.

The Laguna Beach Million Dollar Home Raffle

Only 20,000 tickets are sold during the fundraising campaign which officially launches July 8.  However, pre-sales are now available.  Since its inception nine years ago, more than $9 million has been awarded.  Seven of the Grand Prize winners selected the $1 million prize and one selected the home.  This is the second year that the Ocean Institute has partnered with IPSF.

The local business support as community partners has become a staple of the Laguna Beach Million Dollar Home Raffle. Aug. 22 is the deadline to enter for the Early Bird drawing.  There will be a total of three drawings during the 16-week fundraising campaign. Information on the raffle is on the website or may be obtained by calling 949-542-3600.
