Two new businesses opened last week in Dana Point.

Magical Shears is a new salon owned by Janell Lutz and is located at 34098 Coast Hwy.

Tavern on the Coast officially opened Friday, April 20. The chef proprietor, Bryan Podgorski, had worked alongside the owner and founder of the French Laundry in his Las Vegas Restaurant. He teamed up with Veronica Scala and Pamela Dickinson, also from Las Vegas, to open Tavern on the Coast. The restaurant is at 34212 Coast Hwy., Ste. A.
