New Sports Bar and a Fast-Casual Asian Diner

Laguna Niguel Biz Briefs have the latest comings and goings in the community from food to fashion.

Laguna Niguel has two new kids on the block in the resturaunt department.

Residents can now enjoy a Chinese fast-casual eatery in the Plaza De La Paz and whoop it up at a new sports bar at an old location in Town Center.

After months of construction at the , Pei Wei Asian Diner opened a location in Laguna Niguel on Monday. 

Pei Wei serves freshly prepared and made to order dishes with roots in five different Asian countries and offers a casual dine-in experience or quick, convenient take-away option.

The new location at 27321 La Paz Road, Suite B, is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The fast-casual restaurant concept by P.F. Chang’s serves up a cooked-to-order menu featuring more than 35 fresh ingredients, Pei Wei uses a Mandarin-style wok-cooking process and features cuisine from five Asian countries: China, Japan, Vietnam, Korea and Thailand. All of Pei Wei’s menu items are priced under $10.

The new location features Asian-inspired dishes such as Japanese Teriyaki, Mandarin Kung Pao, Pad Thai and Gluten Free Vietnamese Rolls. The menu also boasts a combination-style offering, Diner Selects, starting at $6.25. Guests choose from one of six Pei Wei favorites and have a choice of three side options including a cup of soup or a hand-rolled spring roll.

New Sports Bar 

Sports fans, and non-sports fans, too, can now indulge at the Signature Sports Bar and Restaurant located in the former Draft Choice Sports Grill location at 30100 Town Center. The business opened on Friday for a V.I.P. reception, and is now open to the public.

As previously reported in Laguna Niguel Patch, the owners have hired , as executive chef consultant. He has been the private chef to playwright/producer/author Sidney Sheldon, legendary crooner Frank Sinatra, W. E. McClatchy the founder of the Sacramento Bee, and Dennis Washington, owner of the largest copper mine in the country.

New co-owner Michelle Hamilton told Patch: "Chef Vince contacted friends who are owners and chefs in sports bars in Chicago, New Jersey and Cincinnati, and incorporated their bestselling dishes into our menu."
