Could Dancing with the Stars' darling, Cheryl Burke, 28, a former dance studio owner in Laguna Niguel be the next Bachelorette? Possibly, says E!Online.
The two-time DWTS champ has ties to Laguna Niguel, her according to her reps at the time, "an increase in rent at the location at The Center at Rancho Niguel is a primary factor in closing the studio after 3 years."
The 3,000 square foot studio was located at 28221 Crown Valley Pkwy., and was one of two separate enterprises in California to carry the Cheryl Burke Dance studio brand. It was established as one of three operating test models for Cheryl Burke Dance studios. The brand's San Francisco ballroom closed in 2010 due to high leasing costs and neighborhood changes that made planned uses of the venue impractical, according to the studio.
The Mountain View studio, which also serves as company headquarters, continues to serve the San Francisco Bay Area dance community seven days a week. It has 14,100 square feet and three separate dance floors.
The studio in Laguna Niguel was often visited by her mother, and CEO, Sherri Burke.
E!Online is reporting Burke who appears in the ABC reality dance show has been in talks with the producers of the dating show, The Bachelorette.
She told the online news site: "People tell me, ‘Why does Cheryl Burke need to go on television to look for a date?'" she says with a laugh. "Honestly, it's something I've been struggling with—I dated a few guys over summer—I end up picking the wrong people for me. I'm not successful at it. I just thought to myself, ‘Why don't I let someone else do it?' I think it would be a way for me to focus on a way to find true love. It sounds cliché, but it's true. I'm turning 29 soon, and it's something I really want to have. I want to be in a relationship. I've been so married to my work lately that it's been a struggle to find a boyfriend, or find someone to talk to. I haven't had a proper date in two, three years
