Black Friday App Available From Laguna Niguel-Based Company

Get the latest and greatest deals via a new application from Iconosys, a local developer of mobile-device software.

Looking to get a leap on Black Friday deals?

You might want to check out Black Flyday 2.0 from Laguna Niguel-based Iconosys, provider of mobile-device applications.

Black Flyday is a Facebook-integrated app for Android smartphones and tablets that shows consumers coupons and promotional offers that will be offered by a wide variety of companies on the Friday after Thanksgiving. It hones in on the locations of where Black Friday deals will occur in real time in a particular area.

“In this stumbling economy, the idea of deal hunting has been reborn in daily-deal offering from innovative companies like Groupon, Monster Offers and others,” said Wayne Irving II, the creator of Black Flyday and Iconosys founder and CEO in a press release. “The efforts to make each and every dollar go farther have never seen or generated this much buzz and attention from consumers. … Our new and improved app puts you, the shopper, in charge, by enabling you and your network to find the best deals, post them and then take advantage of them, all in real time.”

Black Flyday is free through Nov. 25 and then it will be one-time fee of $4.99.

I hit enter in the comment and it posted - I wasn't done! Why would it post if you don't clickRead More "post comment"?! I read one story and the scrunched up left placement gave me a headache. The ad column on the right is way too big - too wide. If they made that smaller, swapped the "board" column and the news (so the news was in the middle), I think it would be easier to read.

With the ad block on the right and the boards info in the middle, it feels like the news part isRead More scrunched too far to the left.
