Laguna Niguel Fans of "Twilight" Counting Moments Until Film Opens

Hold your children close because werewolves and vampires will soon be on the loose. "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" film hits theaters at 12:01 a.m. Friday.

It is time grab your silver bullets and garlic necklaces as the Twilight craze is about to land—again.

Fans will be flocking to the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, at 12:01 a.m. Friday to watch the first part of the last installment of the book series about a girl who must choose between two lovers, one vampire and the other a werewolf. Locally, the film is showing at Edward’s Aliso Viejo Stadium 20, Kaleidoscope and Irvine Spectrum 21 & IMAX.

And while a full moon won't be in the sky for the midnight showing, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 film will surely attract plenty of faux werewolves and vamps. Dressing up is a big part of the overall experience, according to many local fans.

"I have my vampire teeth already to go for the premiere,” said Lindsey Mah, a Laguna Niguel resident.

"It will definitely be the highlight of my year," said Jayme Armstrong, 20.

"I cannot wait for the midnight premiere,” said Nicole Busciemi, 20, a Dana Point resident. "I am wearing my 'team Jacob' shirt to support werewolves everywhere. When I bought my ticket online, I got a coupon to buy the movie on DVD.”

Fandango is offering a special offer for the event according to its web site. Movie-goers will receive The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Special Edition on Blu-Ray and DVD combo for $12.99 if they purchase a ticket through the web site.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, is the last Twilight book that has been spilt into two movies similar to what author J.K. Rowling of fame did with her last book, The Deathly Hallows.

“Films like this really bring out hardcore fans and that speaks loudly as to what Twilight is all about,” said Greg LeNoue, general manager at 

 “I'm obsessed with Twilight, I will be the first one in line for the midnight premiere!” said Karin Munden, 20, another Laguna Niguel resident.

If you plan on attending the premiere, make sure you buy your tickets soon because they are going fast, and do not forget to bring those garlic necklaces.
