Grab & Go Fun Things to Do This Weekend: June 24-26

Get out and have fun at a lobster fest or summer concerts.

Wash away the June gloom with lots of free events this weekend.

1. Friday, June 24,  Laguna Niguel Summer Concert Series,  Crown Valley Community Amphitheater,  6:30-8:30 p.m.  Grab your chairs and blankets and come on down for the city's first concert of the summer. Stone Soul will be performing Motown and rhythm and blues hits. Free shuttle will run from the parking lot near the old courthouse and Fire Station No. 5 at Alicia Parkway and Pacific Island Dr.  Crown Valley Community Amphitheater, 29751 Crown Valley Pkwy.  Call 949-362-4351 for more information.  

2. Friday, June 24,  Dana Point Movies in the Park,  Lantern Bay Park,  8 p.m.  Watch a free screening of Despicable Me.  Lantern Bay Park, 25111 Park Lantern Rd., Dana Point.  Visit danapoint.org for more information.

3. Friday, June 24-26, 29th annual Dana Point Concours d'Elegance at the St. Regis Monarch Beach, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.  The event includes an art exhibition, a private collection tour, a muscle car show and a vintage-automobile auction sale. This event benefits the Ocean Institute, Allen Diabetes Center and other Southern California youth charities. General admission tickets, $30 and $25 for students ages 12-18.  Visit danapointconcours.org for schedule and ticket information. 

4.  Saturday, June 25, Dana Point Lobster Fest, Doheny State Beach 4-9 p.m.  The Monarch Beach Sunrise Rotary Club is hosting its second annual Dana Point Lobster Fest benefiting many local children's charities, including the Boys and Girls Club, Dana Hills Students of the Month, Malcom Elementary and South Coast YMCA. Come and enjoy all-you-can eat steak and lobster; music; and a live auction. Tickets are $75 each and include all-you-can-eat buffet, soft drinks, silent auction, opportunity drawings and a no-host bar.  Sunday, June 26,  Dana Point Summer Concerts in the Park,  4:30-6 p.m.  Listen to a tribute to Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac on Sunday afternoon at Heritage Park, overlooking Dana Point Harbor.  Heritage Park, 34400 Old Golden Lantern, Dana Point.  Visit danapoint.org for more information or call 949-248-3530.
