Small Quake in O.C. Saturday

Did you feel anything in Laguna Niguel or Dana Point? A 1.9 quake hit Anaheim at 2:24 p.m, says the U.S. Geological Survey.

A small earthquake apparently rattled the Anaheim Hills area of northern Orange County today.

The last time we had a quake in the Laguna Niguel/Dana Point area was in April.

Today, the magnitude 1.9 quake hit at 2:24 p.m. and was epicentered 2 miles
north of Villa Park, or 8 miles north-northeast of Santa Ana, according to preliminary, automated U.S.Geological Survey reports.

No reports of damage could be expected from a quake that small, according to USGS experts.

However, some readers in Laguna Niguel said they did feel a small jolt around the time the quake hit.

I felt it but thought the dryer was out of balance for a split second. Should have known better! ;)
