Temperatures climbed to the high 80s in Laguna Niguel and skyrocketed to a blistering 110 degrees in inland communities such as Riverside County Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
In the desert, highs reached an unearthly 117 degrees.
So where did everyone go to escape the heat?
