Happy Birthday: Laguna Niguel-Dana Point Patch is 2 Years Old!

From covering major crimes to fun features, we're thrilled to say we're a whopping 2 years old and we want to thank all of our readers for sticking by us.

Hip, Hip Hooray!

Laguna Niguel-Dana Point Patch is 2 years old this week and we couldn't be more excited.

We've come a long way since we first launched—from big news stories to fun features —we've been covering the area from top to bottom. We've even had some paranormal and UFO sightings along the way!

Our Facebook page has 793 "Likes," but we need 1,000 by Dec. 31, so go ahead and like us some more. Also, be sure to follow us on Twitter @LagunaNPatch.

Coverage continues on all of the top stories you've been following from the Mara Steves trial and the Hockey Mom case to our popular, every day crime blotters.

A big thanks to all of those who contribute to Patch daily including talented photographer Barton Mac Leod, Nicole Cook, Gracie Doran, the many bloggers, and the rest of the talented individuals who have made us a "must-read."

As the first Patch to enter Orange County, nobody knew who or what Patch was, but now, most folks do and they even refer to us as "The Patch." Today, there are more than 900 Patch sites across the country and Laguna Niguel-Dana Point Patch continues to be among the most popular thanks to all of you.

If there is something you'd like to see, please drop a note: Debbie.Sklar@patch.com

Go ahead and tell us what you like and what you don't like while you're at it.

And thanks for continuing to support us, we hope to have even more headed your way as we move into 2013.

If you'd like to blog let us know that, too, and we'll set you up if you have something to say.

As we say at AOL corporate headquarters: Go Patch!

I hit enter in the comment and it posted - I wasn't done! Why would it post if you don't clickRead More "post comment"?! I read one story and the scrunched up left placement gave me a headache. The ad column on the right is way too big - too wide. If they made that smaller, swapped the "board" column and the news (so the news was in the middle), I think it would be easier to read.

With the ad block on the right and the boards info in the middle, it feels like the news part isRead More scrunched too far to the left.
