Baby Seal Possibly Injured in Dana Point

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff's Department on March 21 in Laguna Niguel.

A caller requested a patrol car for a baby seal that was lying on the rocks near Beach Road in Dana Point. It was unknown whether or not it was injured, but it was not moving. The incident occurred at 7:17 p.m. at the cross streets of Palisades Drive and Pacific Coast Highway.

Suspicious Person 3:24 p.m. 25100 block of Moberly Court. A caller reported that a male was walking around gesturing at the air. She was concerned for the children who were playing in the area. The male was in his late 20’s, had dark hair, and was wearing a white tee shirt and blue and gray shorts.

Citizen Assist 11:21 a.m. 29400 block of Ana Maria Lane. A caller reported that another driver may have had road rage, and tried to run her off the road. The other vehicle was last seen on Crown Valley. The driver was in a silver Honda truck and got onto the 5 going northbound.

Assist Outside Agency 5:30 p.m. Unknown block of Seastar Court. A caller reported secondhand information that a male who attended Newport Heights Elementary School had a strong odor of alcohol on him when a teacher approached him. He stated that he had had a drink at lunch. (Dana Point)

Citizen Assist 1:26 p.m. 34100 block of Selva Road. A caller reported that her neighbor tried to run her over in his vehicle. (Dana Point)
