$47M Up For Taking In Mega Millions Lottery

Head to a Dana Point or Laguna Niguel store and don't stop to get a ticket for Tuesday night's drawing as no winners were chosen Friday.

There were no tickets sold with all six numbers in tonight's drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery and the estimated jackpot for Tuesday's drawing will grow to $47 million.

One ticket with five numbers, but missing the Mega number, was sold at
Mar-Val Main Street Market in Escalon in San Joaquin County and is worth

$572,376, a California Lottery official announced.

One ticket with five numbers, but missing the Mega number, was also sold
in Oregon, Tennessee and West Virginia,  and are each worth $250,000.

California law requires major payoffs of lottery games to be paid on a
pari-mutuel basis.

The numbers drawn tonight were 1, 2, 23, 25, 55 and the Mega number was
39. The estimated jackpot was $39 million.

The drawing was the sixth since the last time a ticket with all six
numbers was sold.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in
175,711,536, according to the Mega Millions website. The overall chance of
winning a prize is 1 in 40.

The Mega Millions game is played in 42 states, the District of Columbia
and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

I hit enter in the comment and it posted - I wasn't done! Why would it post if you don't clickRead More "post comment"?! I read one story and the scrunched up left placement gave me a headache. The ad column on the right is way too big - too wide. If they made that smaller, swapped the "board" column and the news (so the news was in the middle), I think it would be easier to read.

With the ad block on the right and the boards info in the middle, it feels like the news part isRead More scrunched too far to the left.
