I found two young men using in the pool restroom at my Aliso apartments complex. They apologizedRead More and left. As a society, we do a poor job of providing accessible and affordable treatment to drug users. Treatment would prove mush less expensive in the long run.

BTW stay away from that 24 hr fitness it's full of FREEKS, My friend walked in the head and some guyRead More was shaving his crank in the sink, managements lame also, he quit right after that.

So you see a 25 year old shooting heroin in a public bathroom in Laguna Niguel and are surprised?Read More How did they know the age and substance used? It is epidemic but you don't know details unless its speculation.
Dan Avery May 22, 2013 at 01:53 pm
Shri, We should probably quit poking the animals. They are, after all, caged behind bars in zoosRead More of their own making...
Shripathi Kamath May 22, 2013 at 01:43 pm
"His mama was white but you with Avery are a pair to draw to...." - Bobo See, that is howRead More Bobos of the world try to convince others that they consider their irrational hatred of the black skinned guy in the WH is something else.
Dan Avery May 22, 2013 at 01:17 pm
Double down now, Joe. Please. Let's see who you really are...oh wait, I forgot, you're a cowardRead More hiding behind an alias so you don't have to take responsibility for the vileness that flows from you like the Mississippi River after the spring melt.

It's about time. That crook stole my payment on a boat sold, through his former brokerage, forRead More $18,000.00. He will get what he deserves. I might even get some of my money back. Doubt it though. Way to go law enforcement for not letting this guy get off "scott free."
Mary Bogart May 11, 2013 at 11:33 pm
Glad they finally found him! Does anyone edit these articles though?

The firefighting effort was extremely efficient! As a Kite Hill Homeowner, I am very grateful to theRead More firefighters in Laguna Niguel and the surrounding OC Departments who quickly got this fire under control. Thank you and as my 11 year old son said "All their practicing really worked"!!! S. Harris

it seems that these people, the way that they were fighting over the money, would have not calledRead More the police unless they knew about the reward money..... sad statement about society these days
Eric Bergstrom May 10, 2013 at 10:16 pm
There are probably some readers out there who would pay for that.

How does this story show that the dog was dangerous? If anything it shows how scared the dog was ofRead More the whole ordeal and only would go to the owner when approached in a familiar water craft...
george gregory May 6, 2013 at 11:56 am
so the dog swam all night
John May 5, 2013 at 05:01 pm
You see! Those dam Pit Bulls are dangerous, even on the water, I hope the poor man was okay?
M April 24, 2013 at 10:47 am
Shouldn't the title of this article be something like...former teacher pleads not guilty... NowhereRead More in this article does it say he denies what he's accused of.

He has to earn forgiveness and only his actions will bring him that forgiveness. At present he hasRead More absolutely no business anywhere but prison. He is a danger to us all. If ever he comes to truely realize his responsibility he'll know he is where he should be and won't be seeking release, he'll accept his actions led to prison rightfully. He apparently is well known to the law enforcement community, and the community at large. His actions apparently are common for him. Once is a mistake and after a penalty/rehabilitation phase maybe forgiveness can be given. Poor actions over and over again...no way. Lock such people away from the rest of us, we do not have any reason to tolerate his behaviors or endangering actions. All that said, you are welcome to present your thoughts and I'll respect those opinions but....I feel you are wrong.
Eric S April 7, 2013 at 11:27 am
Yep. With freedom comes responsibilities. This guy clearly did not act responsibly. His actionsRead More are well known to have severe outcomes. He choose to take drugs and drive, he now has to be locked away from the rest of us. We can call it punishment or an attempt at rehabilitation.....whatever....but for myself I see it as the means to allow the rest of us to be safe from his thoughtless and dangerous actions. 17 years. Hmmm......I wonder if that is long enough? If she were my daughter I'd think not. A side issue to this is now the taxpayers have to pay for his upkeep. I sure would like to see prisons cause an inmate to earn his/her food and shelter. Big rocks into little rocks, chaingangs cleaning highways, growing their own food, etc. Bootcamp style.
Rob April 6, 2013 at 11:19 pm
It appears that he already has...

You make an interesting point.

Gee, I'm so surprised. It's amazing how easily women can work the system, no matter the crime. IRead More guess our society doesn't value young boys as much as young girls, based on the light sentences or mistrials we see over and over again for the female sex abusers.
M March 29, 2013 at 10:48 am
What an injustice.. At least she will be sentenced for some of the acts she commited. Hopefully theRead More judge orders the maximum allowed. April is sexual abuse awareness month... Children are easily manipulated by adults - All parents should know what to look out for in protecting their kids. There's a valuable resource (right here in Laguna Niguel!) TAALK.org, with information & resources. They have books for ALL ages on touching, secrets, prevention & healing. Also email tips for protecting your children.

Let's just say some of what we find in the sheriff's blotter -- not all of which makes it toRead More publication -- is a little incredible!
Terry Green May 7, 2013 at 04:52 pm
Are they real, what kind of question is that? they bring them in to eat the dry brush and helpRead More lower the risk of fire to the area. It helps to know the community and understand what's going on.
bbq May 7, 2013 at 04:46 pm
Yes, the goats are real. They've been put on the hillsides to keep the brush clear.

I saw it on my way to do an Open House. His face was full of blood and so many cars pulled over!Read More Bikers think (and actually do) have the right of way. However, it doesn't mean they are indespensible.

Unbelievable he wasn't killed. I can't for the life of my understand why people think they are okayRead More riding their bike on Golden Lantern. It's not even safe for cars! People speed, are distracted and pay no attention to the cars - bikes don't even register. And if they do, the cars make it clear they are not welcome on the street. Right or wrong..that's the way it is. I've lived near Golden Lantern for 20 years. I'd love to ride my bike down to the harbor - it's just a few miles - but the miles are deadly ones. If anyone does ride, PLEASE ride as if you are invisible - because to many, many drivers - that's what you are to them - they do not see you.
Happy Camper April 21, 2013 at 09:24 pm
We drove by the scene today on our way to the beach. Thankfully there were so many people thatRead More pulled over to help him. Police were on the scene and paramedics on the way. He was conscious and I pray he's okay. Golden Lantern going downhill (especially on a bike) can be scary! So many people drive so darn fast in both directions DAY AND NIGHT!
