Taste of Aliso Niguel is More Than the Food!

This year the Parents for Aliso Niguel is continuing on with the 7th annual event, Taste of Aliso Niguel.  The parents that initially started this back in 2008 were trying to help the school through a year that many remember brought some rough times to our nation as a whole.  The event has continued on as many education programs and extra curricular programs continue to need additional funding beyond allocated school budgets.  There are many organizations on campus that have their own boosters and many that don't have the sophisticated structure.  At the end of the day, the issue remains the same for every group, each one needs funding!

The Taste of Aliso Niguel is a unique event that allows not just one, but any organization on campus to raise funds.  Some organizations have sophisticated booster structures while other clubs may be lead by a student president with a passion for their cause.  The Parents for Aliso Niguel organization puts together the "Taste" event so that any level of student organization can benefit from the fundraising.  It's guaranteed that their is a group on campus that can use the support that will meet any varying interest of the donor.  From sports and athletics, to cheer leading and dance, to science and academia, to theater arts and culinary arts and also clubs with teens making a difference for children with cancer and providing water for third world countries, it's there on ANHS campus.

The real beauty of this event comes from the community support.  This is the time of year when the community comes together to say our students matter and the community recognizes our future is in these students hands, that these students and their lives matter to all of us.  The evening may seem like a big celebration with a DJ and live music, food tastes and beverages but it's so much more.  It's restaurants, local businesses and attendees coming together at one time, in one place to say, "We do this for the students at ANHS."

The "Taste" would not be possible without the in-kind donations and great staff from local restaurants supporting this cause.  Their generous commitment of providing food and time, make the whole event possible.  We wouldn't have any "tastes" without them.  That is why we ask our supporters to continue to support these businesses throughout the year.  Of course, we are always looking for new tastes!

The event this year will be Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Laguna Design Center from 6:00-9:00 p.m.  Please join with us in showing our community pride for our Wolverines!  We are Wolverine Strong!
