Here is a look ahead to events and happenings in Laguna Niguel-Dana Point and Orange County for Jan. 13-19.
- Disney's Beauty and the Beast will be performed as a musical Jan. 14-19 at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, 600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa. Tickets start at $29.
- The Dana Point VFW Post 9934 is now providing assistance to veterans on the second Tuesday of every month at the Dana Point Community Center, 34052 Del Obispo. Learn about veteran benefits and veteran service membership from 1:30 p.m. till 3 p.m.
- Check out the Whale Walk and Talk at the Dana Point Headlands Saturday morning from 9 to 11. The approximately 1.5 mile walk starts out at the Nature Interpretive Center, 34558 Scenic Drive. Binoculars are recommended.
- Watch live Native American basket-weaving demonstrations at the Mission San Juan Capistrano Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
