Kimchi Meets IKEA: Swedish Taekwondo Team Heading to Laguna Niguel

The team will be training for the U.S. Open Taekwondo Championships in Las Vegas.

Apparently those peace-loving Swedes are more butt-kicking than anyone ever suspected ...

So much so that they actually have a national taekwondo team. And that team is coming to Laguna Niguel this weekend to train at Jimmy Kim's Taekwondo Center Saturday and Sunday, from 8-10 a.m.

The 25-person-strong Swedish squad and its coach, Niklas Andersson, are specifically coming to train for competing in the U.S. Open Taekwondo Championships, set to go off in Las Vegas next week. It's one of the international Taekwondo tournaments where most elite-level athletes, world champs and Olympians compete.

Unfortunately the public isn't invited to watch -- hey, they're busy training -- but if you hang outside afterwards, maybe you can ask them what their favorite ABBA song, meatball flavor, or easy-to-assemble piece of home furnishing is ...

I hit enter in the comment and it posted - I wasn't done! Why would it post if you don't clickRead More "post comment"?! I read one story and the scrunched up left placement gave me a headache. The ad column on the right is way too big - too wide. If they made that smaller, swapped the "board" column and the news (so the news was in the middle), I think it would be easier to read.

With the ad block on the right and the boards info in the middle, it feels like the news part isRead More scrunched too far to the left.
