Dana Hills Girls' Tennis Takes Wind Out of Newport Harbor Sailors

The Lady Sailors were no match for the Lady Dolphins who won 15-3 in round two of CIF-SS Division 1 Playoffs.

(Editor's Note: Thanks to reader Sue Ludiwg for sending in this story.)

The Newport Harbor Sailors gave the Dana Hills Dolphins a very warm welcome for the second round of CIF-SS Divison 1 Playoffs by greeting each player with a bouquet of flowers on Nov. 2.

After spirited team cheers by both teams the girls took to the courts. The prowess of the Dolphins singles, No. 1 Alyssa Smith, No. 2 Jessica Perez and No. 3 Cassidy Spearman was overwhelming for the Sailors.  All three Dana players have powerful games and played flawless, sweeping all 8 of the sets they played.  The cheers for both teams continued until the final point, but the Dolphins walked away satisfied with a 15-3 win.

I hit enter in the comment and it posted - I wasn't done! Why would it post if you don't clickRead More "post comment"?! I read one story and the scrunched up left placement gave me a headache. The ad column on the right is way too big - too wide. If they made that smaller, swapped the "board" column and the news (so the news was in the middle), I think it would be easier to read.

With the ad block on the right and the boards info in the middle, it feels like the news part isRead More scrunched too far to the left.
