Steelers Win First Place in NFL Flag South Orange County Winter Season Tournament

Under the leadership of Laguna Niguel resident coaches George Craven and John Carroll, the Steelers strong defense held the Patriots to a single touchdown.

The Steelers prevailed 31-6 over the Patriots in the final game of the NFL Flag South Orange County tournament played Saturday at Capistrano Valley Christian School.  

Under the leadership of Laguna Niguel resident coaches George Craven and John Carroll, the Steelers strong defense held the Patriots to a single touchdown.

Winning Laguna Niguel team members include Carter Klein, Grant Oldenburg, Brooke Carroll, Bryce Allen, Connor Walcott, Spencer Kline, Will Craven, Reece Encinas and Nicholas Drossel. Corey Peterson and Dylan Laguatan from Aliso Viejo also contributed greatly to the victory. 

NFL Flag South Orange County is the area’s newest youth flag football league for boys and girls ages 5-14.  Players have the chance to be an official NFL player (reversible NFL Flag team jersey included) while learning lessons in football and teamwork.
