In case you haven't looked out the window today, it's raining.
No matter, says Tony Bogle, principal of Crown Valley Elementary. The school's "Lunch With a Loved One" event will carry on as planned.
During the yearly event, parents are encouraged to stop by the school and eat lunch with their child. After lunch, a book fair is taking place for parent and child to visit.
Here is the lunch schedule for Crown Valley Elementary:
- Kindergarten: 10:15-10:45
- Grades 1-3: 11:10-11:50
- Grades 4 and 5: 11:50-12:30
This is the third year in a row that "Lunch With a Loved One" has gotten rain, Bogle said.
To accommodate participating families, the library and the back half of the school's multipurpose room will be opened.
