Students at Moulton Elementary School is being headed up by interim Principal Dennie Samuels as students return today after the winter holiday.
Samuels is stepping in for Principal Debi Culbertson while she recovers from an injury she suffered during winter break.
She is recovering, but has yet to be released to return to work. Therefore, an interim principal has been assigned to Moulton.
Samuels has worked in education for 30 years. Since retiring four years ago, Samuels continues to support the district in many capacities.
"She is excited and eager to work in this assignment. Please rest assured that ensuring student safety and quality education are her top priorities," Culbertson said to parents via the district's listserve.
Culbertson hopes to return to her post soon, she wrote.
